I retained the services of Elaine Kehoe through a good friend's referral. As this was the first time I had to sell my own country home and property, I was very anxious about the process as I was not familiar with the many things that go into selling a home. The property was to be marketed towards a very select demographic (people who keep horses on the property) and Elaine was the perfect person to do this. She knew exactly what this demographic was expecting in a property and immediately set out for me in clear and understandable terms the process to make this happen. She took care of all the various trades that had to come to the site (septic tank, oil/propane suppliers, cleaners, landscapers, inspectors, etc) and staged the house tastefully. She even went out of her way to obtain information from the municipality (surveys) on our behalf. I appreciated the almost completely carefree process of preparing my house for sale due to Elaine's tireless and proactive efforts. The house sold much sooner than I expected and I felt that I received a fair price. Elaine was upfront and transparent with me during the negotiation process with the buyer and I felt she represented my interests fairly. Elaine was with me “every step of the way.”

In the most insane real estate market history, we have decided to sell our house and move further north. Before listing our home, we interviewed several real estate agents. Of the agents interviews, Elaine stood head and shoulders above everyone else. When we first sat down, we told her that we wanted our privacy respected and our wishes followed through without argument. Elaine listed and sold my mother-in-law’s condominium for almost $50,000 over asking at a time when the market was pretty flat. My mother-in-law is over eighty, and was extremely anxious about the listing and sale of the condo where she had lived for 20 years and about her move to a retirement home. Elaine gently persuaded her that the condo would sell for more if she would agree to have it painted, replace the worn carpet and the dated appliances. When my mother-in-law agreed, Elaine worked closely with a stager (also wonderful) to make sure that the condo looked its best, reassuring my mother-in-law along the way. When five offers came in, Elaine guided us through the late evening sale with patience and clarity. She was also tough when she needed to be with a belligerent real estate agent who represented the top bidder. After the sale, Elaine kept in touch with my mother-in-law, checking to see that she was settling in to the retirement home and that she was happy with everything that happened.
